- Mrs. Ruth P. Swearman, 81, of Meyersdale, died Nov. 17, 1973, at her home. Born Nov. 14, 1892, in Hyndman, she was a daughter of the late Jacob and Martha (Logsdon) Smeak. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Paul Critchfield, Boynton; Mrs. Charles Martincie, Rockwood; and Mrs. Ralph Miller, Meyersdale; also seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Her husband James Swearman and a son Edward are deceased. Funeral service was conducted Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock in Konhaus Funeral Home, Meyersdale, with Rev. Harold A. Appel officiating. Interment in Union Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, March 22, 1973
