- Lonaconing, Dec. 30 — A native of this place, Albert Crowe, 70, died Thursday at his home, 82 West Main street, after an illness of almost three years. The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thornton Crowe, he was a carpenter by trade, retiring 12 years ago. His wife, Mrs. Isabel S. (Dunn) Crowe, died in April, 1927. Before entering the carpentry trade, Mr. Crowe worked for the Marshall Lumber Company, the Frostburg Brewing Company and the Emmerling Bottling Works, Cumberland. He was a member of Valley Council, No. 26, Junior Order of United American Mechanics. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ernest Finley, Cambridge, Ohio; Mrs. Thelma MacFarland, Reno, Nev.; and Miss Alma Belle Crowe, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Ida McGee, Baltimore, and Mrs. Molly Ternent, Detmold, Lonaconing.
