- FROSTBURG - J. Wesley Engle, 68, died late Saturday evening at his home, Rose Meadow Farm, Eckhart. A native of Eckhart, he was a son of the late Vincent and Hattie (Porter) Engle. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Chadwick (Nicols) Engle; a son, John Wesley Engle, Irwin, Pa.; three brothers, William, Vincent and Wheeler Engle, all of Eckhart; three sisters, Mrs. Elmer Lancaster, LaVale; Mrs. Percy Skidmore, Eckhart, and Mrs. Russell Seifarth, Hoffman. He was a retired farmer and held membership in Eckhart Methodist Church. The body is at the residence, where services will be held Tuesday at 4 p. m. with Rev. W. T. Beckett, pastor of Eckhart Methodist Church, officiating, assisted by Rev. Paul V. Taylor, pastor of Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church, Frostburg. Burial will be in the Porter Cemetery, Eckhart. Pallbearers will be Irwin, Dale, Harold and Richard Skidmore, William P. Engle, John Seifarth, Roger and Harold Lancaster. The Cumberland Evening Times, April 29, 1957
