- He died on 6 Jun 1964 at the age of 86 in Frostburg, Allegany Co., Maryland. FROSTBURG - Joseph F. Logsdon, 85, of 26 Depot Street, died at his residence yesterday. He was born in Eckhart, son of the late Moses and Anna (Rhinehart) Logsdon. His wife, Ada (Deffibaugh) Logsdon preceded him in death. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Eva Arnold, Keyser; Mrs. Virginia Dougherty, Hyattsville; Miss Alma Logsdon, at home; two sons, Franklin Logsdon, Largo, Fla.; Vonder Logsdon, Corfu, N. Y.; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and one brother, Hiram Logsdon, Frostburg. He was a member of the First Methodist Church. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home where friends will received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. The family requests that flowers be omitted. Services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home by Rev. Harold B. Wright, and interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park. The Cumberland Sunday Times, June 7, 1964
