- Sondra K. Wickard McMannis, 65, of Cumberland went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, June 02, 2010. She fought a long hard courageous battle with lung cancer up until the very end. She never gave up. Born April 10, 1945 in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. Barham and Adeline V. (McKenzie) Barham. She is also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Roger Zepp. Mrs. McMannis was a homemaker. She was a former member of Moundsville Jaycees. Sondra’s hobbies were shopping with her daughters, gardening, going to flea markets, collecting butterflies, puzzle books, and cleaning around the house. She enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren Bethany and Katelyn. They were the love of her life. Not once were they without. Surviving are her husband, Richard McMannis, whom she loved very much ; two loving daughters, Eileen M. Sneathen and husband George, Delray, W.Va. and Charlotte A. Champ and husband Allen, Corriganville; one loving son, Louis R. Wickard Jr. and wife Bonnie, East Berlin, Pa.; loving stepdaughter, Annie McMannis and spouse Scott White, Bean Cove, Pa.; loving step-son, David McMannis, Cumberland; 10 loving grandchildren and two exceptionally close grandchildren, granddaughter and best friend, Tricia Champ and grandson and best friend, Chad Wickard, Kyle Sneathen, Zachary Sneathen, Matthew Sneathen, Brandi Wickard, Michael Wickard, Brittany Wickard, Kathy McMannis, Samantha Shipe; three beautiful great-granddaughters, Bethany Green, Katelyn Whitacre, Kierstin Laisure; one brother, John E. Barham and wife Martha, Forest Hill; three sisters, Charlotte Cunningham and husband Buck, Melbourne, Fla., Patricia Donahoe, Clearville, Pa., Dorothy Rockwell, Cumberland; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by close friends of the Zepp family, Dawn, Marie, Adam, Chad, Lori and Emma. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Gene Riffey officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
