Elbert E. Miller, 81, of Meyersdale RD 3, died May 12, 1997, at Meyersdale Medical Center. Born Jan. 1, 1916, in Greenville Township. A son of the late Harvey and Belinda (Baer) Miller. Also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth E.; three brothers: George H., Ray W., and Carl F.; five sisters: Alma Dietle, Edith Schultz, Maggie Williams, Ethel Miller, and Annie Mildred Dietle. Survived by his wife, the former Hilda D. Drees, and these children: Glenn L., married to the former Helen Weimer, Meyersdale RD 3; James R., married to the former Karen Andersen, Herndon, Va.; and Linda S., wife of William D. Edgar, Fayetteville, N.C., six grandchildren: Brenda L. Clark, Brian E. Miller, William D. Edgar Jr., Megan D. Miller, Erin M. Miller and Cody W. Miller. Two great-grandchildren: Kayla A. Paul and Justin A. Clark. A brother of Harvey A. Miller, Shellsburg; Gladys Pope, Meyersdale; Agnes Schrock, Cumberland, Md., and Emma Meese, Salisbury. World War II veteran U.S. Army Air Corps. A member of Greenville Lutheran Church and American Legion Post 112. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale. Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Greenville Lutheran Church, with Pastor David Fetter officiating. Interment, Greenville Union Cemetery. Daily American, May 14, 1997
