A native of Garrett County, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Minnie (Dorsey) Layman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burt Minick. Mrs. Minick was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Frostburg, and the Sodality. Surviving are two other daughters, Mrs. Rena McKenzie, Salisbury, Pa.; Mrs. Marguerite Oliver, Greenbelt; two sons, Anthony Minick, Salisbury, Pa.; Ralph Minick, Cumberland; two brothers, Tracey Layman, Vestal, N.Y.; James Layman, Frostburg; a sister, Mrs. Genevieve Raley, here; 20 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated tomorrow at St. Michael's Church. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Minick, Lee Minick, Robert Minick, Richard Wilson, John Cassen and Evan Bone.
