WILLIAM CHARLES GRUBAUGH
"William Charles Grubaugh, 15, a student of McKinley Junior High School, died at 10 p.m. Thursday at the home of his parents on West Johnson Street in Vandalia, Illinois, after a short illness of influenza."
"William Charles Grubaugh, son of John and Ruth Grubaugh, was born May 26, 1930 at St. Elmo, Illinois and departed this life December 13, 1945 at the age of 15 years, 6 months and 17 days. Besides his parents he leaves five sisters, Fern, Imogene, Helen and Mary Lou at home and Mrs. Viola Linton of Shobonier, Illinois. Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Charles Grubaugh of Vandalia, Mrs. Jane Grubaugh of St. Elmo, Illinois and other relatives and friends."

"Because of the prevailing epidemic, The Health Authorities advised a private funeral service, which was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Barkley Funeral Home with the Reverend H. A. VanHorn, pastor of the Free Methodist Church officiating. Burial was made in the Maplewood cemetery at St. Elmo, Illinois."
