"Esta May Kline, 85, of Altamont died at 5:20 p.m. Thursday, December 21, 1989, in St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital, Effingham."
"Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Kull Funeral Home, Altamont, with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Moccasin. Memorials: donor's choice."
"Mrs. Kline was born June 21, 1904, in Donaldson, daughter of Charles and Mary Logue Grubaugh. She married Clarence Kline on Sept. 15, 1923. He died June 29, 1978."
"Surviving are her son, Charles of Granite City; daughters, Mrs. Wilfred (Phyllis) Scott of Vandalia; Mrs. Dale (Katherine) Durbin of St. Elmo and Norma Kline of Altamont; brothers, Ray Grubaugh of Vandalia, Willie Grubaugh of St. Elmo and Marshall Grubaugh of Centralia; sisters, Ruth Grubaugh and Mrs. Norman (Olive) Ober, both of Vandalia, and Betty Smail of Greenville; 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren."
