LAWRENCE WILLIAMS, 52 YEAR RESIDENT, DIES AT HOME MAY 26
"Mr. Lawrence S. Williams, 59, Route 1, Carterville, a resident for 52 years, died May 26, 1967, at the family residence."
"He was born December 13, 1907 in Murphysboro, the son of Sing Williams and Anna Johnson Williams. He married Mabel Nance in 1928 in Murphysboro. He was a retired coal miner, and a member of the Eagles Lodge in Herrin."
"He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mabel Williams, Route 1, Carterville; his mother, Mrs. Anna Clements, Route 1, Carterville, and one daughter, Dr. Jean Williams, Muncie, Ind."
"Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 28, 1967 in the Riggin Funeral Home, with Rev. Joe Clary officiating. Burial was in the Hillcrest Cemetery."
