"Visitation will be held 12:30 to 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26 at Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, 215 E. Washington St., Monticello. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Leah Pogemiller officiating. Burial will be in Bement Cemetery." "Mrs. Parsons was born Dec. 3, 1916 in Piatt County, daughter of Fred and Bertha (Fahrenkipf) Widener. She married Ottis L. Doty on June 30, 1934 in Salem. He died March 10, 1968. She married A. R. Parsons Jan. 1, 1977 in Monticello. He died Sept. 29, 1993." "Survivors include a son, Fred L. Doty of Monticello; a daughter, Mary Ann Bilyeu of Monticello; grandson, Steve Doty of White Heath; grandaughters, Beth Dighton of Monticello and Sarah Ziegler of Champaign; three great-grandchildren." "She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands and one grandson." "Mrs. Parsons was the owner and operator of Doty's Jewelry Store in Monticello. She was a member of the Monticello United Methodist Church and the Monticello Chamber of Commerce. She enjoyed her family activities, her extensive travels and her bridge club."
