"Harold Wilbur Higgins, 91, of Pana, died at 2:55 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, 1999, in Heritage Manor Nursing Home."
"Graveside rites will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29 in Maroa Cemetery, Maroa. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are by Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home, Decatur. The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer's Association, Land of Lincoln Chapter, P.O. Box 1737, Springfield, IL 62705."
"Mr. Higgins was born in Monticello on July 29, 1908, the son of Isaac J. and Sarah J. McKenzie Higgins. He married Ruth Snoke on Apr. 30, 1937. She died in 1957. He retired in 1973 from Caterpillar Tracor Co. after 18 years of service. He was a member of Pana United Methodist Church and was a World War II Veteran of the U. S. Army."
"Surviving are a son, Roger L. Higgins and wife Donna of Decatur; grandaughter, Dianna Higgins of Decatur, and brother Lewis Higgins of Monticello."
"He was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Ann, brothers Willard, Charles and Francis Higgins, sister Mary Ann Walker and a grandaughter."
