"Marjorie 'Ruth' Durbin, 80, of Earlville, Illinois passed away Monday April 6, 1998 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Mendota, Illinois. She was born November 23, 1917 in Piatt County, Milmine, Illinois the daughter of Joseph and Ota (Steele) McKenzie. She married Joseph Elwood 'Woody' Durbin in (sic) July 3, 1935. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Earlville, and was a volunteer with NOA for several years."
"Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Thursday, April 9, 1998 at Hanley-Turner Funeral Home in Earliville, IL with the Reverend William Virtue officiating. Burial will be in St. Theresa Catholic Cemetery in Earlville, IL. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, April 8th at the funeral home, with a liturgical wake service being recited."
"She is survived by one son, George (Pat) Durbin of Earlville, IL, two daughters, Faye Sandberg of Moline, IL and Betty (Don) Sawicki of Earlville, IL, five grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren, two brothers, Warren (Betty) McKenzie of Ennis, Texas, and Walter (Lu) McKenzie of Mattoon, IL, one sister Mildred Smith of Taylorville, IL."
