  Notes	FROSTBURG, March 11 — Mrs. Esther Jenifer Smith, 84, widow of Arthur F. Smith, died this afternoon at the home of her brothers, William H. and Charles S. Jeffries, 68 West Main Street. She had been ill more than two months. Mrs. Smith was a daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Susan Jeffries. Before her marriage she attended Peabody Conservatory of Music, Baltimore, and later was organist in Methodist churches in Lonaconing and here. She took an active interest in all phases of religious work and taught Sunday School at Lonaconing Methodist Church for many years. Her husband was a former principal of Central High School, Lonaconing. Mrs. Smith leaves two other brothers, George G. Jeffries, Frostburg, and Samuel B. Jeffries, Keyser, W. Va. Her only sister, Miss Eva Hitchens Jeffries, died a year ago. The Cumberland Times, March 12, 1950
