The deceased was a member of Co. "B" 1st Ohio Heavy Artillery in the Civil War, entering the service September 20, 1864, and was honorably discharged, June 3. 1865, on account of termination of war, and was a member of the Grand Army of the Republic since May 26 1885. He was a kind and loving father who never intentionally done a wrong to his fellow man and had no enemies. Peace to his ashes.
