Notes |
- REVA, Va. — Timothy Edward McKenzie, 43, of Reva, Va., went to be with his Lord on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at the University of VA Medical Center. He was born June 1, 1969, in Portsmouth, Va., to Barbara Lewis McKenzie and the late Edward McKenzie. Tim was a member of Alum Spring Baptist Church. He loved fishing and had a great passion for history focusing on the times of George Washington and the Civil War. He was an avid Redskins and Capitols fan and was known as a man who would work his hardest so he could get home to “his girls.” More than anything, Tim loved his family and will be greatly missed by them and all who knew him. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Susan McKenzie and their children, Sara and Sydney McKenzie, all of Reva; one brother, Brent McKenzie and his wife Michelle, of Manassas and a number of extended family, friends and loved ones too numerous to list, all of whom loved him dearly. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at 11 a.m. in the Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ron Young officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brent McKenzie, Rick Young, Jason Patton, Steven “Woody” Woodard, Frank Householder and John Morgan. An online guestbook and tribute wall are available at www.foundandsons.com. Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper is serving the family. Cumberland Times-News, November 27, 2012
