Daniel Francis McKinzie, 81, Topeka, died on Nov. 15 at a Topeka hospital.
Mr. McKinzie had farmed in the Rock Creek community several years and then in the Meriden community four years. He worked in the maintenance department at the Goodyear plant from
1945 until 1968 when he retired.
He was born on Jan. 24, 1905, near Overbrook, the son of John F. and Merry Boyd McKinzie.
He moved to the Rock Creek Community at an early age. He lived in Meriden four years before he moved to Topeka in 1945.
Mr. McKinzie was a member of Local No. 307 of United Rubber Workers Union and was a volunteer worker for Meals on Wheels in Topeka.
A brother, Iber R. McKinzie, Topeka, survives.
Services were at 2 p.m. on Nov. 18 at Tibbitts-Griffin Highland Chapel, Topeka.
Burial was in the Rock Creek Cemetery near Clinton.
