  Notes	CUMBERLAND — Betty Louise Willison, 78, of Cumberland, passed away Friday, Dec. 4, 2020, at Hearthstone Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born April 22, 1942, in Cumberland, Mrs. Willison was the daughter of the late Eston Lewis Alt and Nora Mae (McKenzie) Alt. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Carl Willison, 1979, and a daughter, Sherry Coleen Schade, March 6, 2006. Betty was a former employee of G.C. Murphy and retired from the U.S. Post Office working at various locations in the area. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Flintstone Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Sierra Club, Chesapeake Bay Foundation, and attended Flintstone United Methodist Church. Betty is survived by a son, Monte J. Willison and wife, Janneen; her only grandson, her pride and joy, Matthew Dougherty; her brother, Robert Alt and significant other of many years, Nancy Dawson; her sister, Shirley Lee Tewell and husband, Gary; and close friends, Linda Alt and Bobby Schade; as well as one niece; four nephews; and two great-nephews. Graveside services will be held in Glendale Cemetery Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020, at noon with Pastor Vicki Cubbage officiating. The family gives a special thanks to the staff at Hearthstone Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for all the care and compassion given to Betty over the past five years.
