- Aaron is reflected in the Washington County (later Allegany County) 1783 Tax List along with his father Gabriel and his brothers, Daniel and Samuel.

Penn Archives Third Series, Vol. 22 10 July 1794 Aaron witnesses will of Moses Porter.
Moses Porter's will was probated in Allegany County, Maryland, on 5 January 1795. The will was dated 10 July 1794, and mentions his wife Margaret, sons Aaron, John William, Joshua, Bethel,Thomas, and Moses, and daughters Eleanor and Sarah. The executors were his wife Margaret and his brother John. Witnesses were William Shaw, Aaron Mackenzie, and Michael Porter.
Aaron doesn’t show in 1830 census. Other researchers say he died 1829. Have found no record of marriage, death, burial. No info on children.

This clipping from the 1800 Federal Census for Allegany County, Maryland shows Gabriel McKenzie (b. abt. 1758) living in the Wills Town District of the county. His brother Samuel is four names away on the page, and (presumably) their brother Aaron is 22 names further down the page. The writer, Michael A. McKenzie, has no data on this "Aaron", so it currently is speculation as to whether Aaron was a brother of Samuel and Gabriel.

There is a Samuel McKenzie and a Gabriel McKenzie who also appear on the same page. The writer, Michael A. McKenzie, as of September, 2018, has no data on this particular "Aaron". Gabriel McKenzie (b. abt. 1715) is said to have had a son, Aaron, who would fit the age profile of this particular "Aaron", but the author is unable to prove that this Aaron is the son of Gabriel (b. abt. 1715). |

The author went through all of the tax lists for the State of Maryland and extracted all of the McKenzies in the various counties. He also extracted some Maccenys, which was another family name that the author was chasing at the time he conducted this research. |
