- Arnold BRODE (Charles C.-3, Conrad-2, Conrad-1) was born in Dec 1891. He died on 22 Feb 1956 at the age of 64 in Borden Shaft, Allegany Co., Maryland. FROSTBURG — Arnold Brode, 66 of Borden Shaft, died shortly before noon today at his home. He was the son of the late Charles and Agnes (Kerr) Brode. Mr. Brode last worked at the Allegany County Infirmary. He was a member of Shaft Methodist Church. Surviving, in addition to his widow, Mrs. Hazel (Crowe) Frost Brode, at home, are a brother Howard Brode, Midlothian; a sister, Mrs. Henry Barnes, also, of Midlothian; two daughters, Mrs. Alberta Miller, Frostburg, and Mrs. Beatrice Fatkin, Carlos: two sons, Ellsworth and Lawrence Brode, both of Baltimore; six step-children, Charles Frost, also of here; William and Oscar Frost, both of Detroit; Virgil Frost, Klondyke; Mrs. Lola Powell, Shaft, and Mrs. Minnie Ross, Shaft; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
