Mrs. Clara Agnes Murphy, 64, of 37 East College Avenue, died last night at Sacred Heart Hospital, where she had been a patient three weeks. She had been in ill health the past five years. Born in Garrett County, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Mary (McKenzie) Minnick. She is survived by her husband, Marion Murphy; two sons, Kenneth Murphy, Frostburg, and William Murphy, Woodbridge, Va.; two daughters, Mrs. Ebbert Aldridge, Willoughby, Ohio, and Mrs. Robert Hester, North Vernon, Ind.; one brother, Oscar Minnick, of Garrett County; one granddaughter, Debra Murphy, who resided with Mrs. Murphy, and 13 other grandchildren. The body is at the Hafer Funeral Home where friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 until 4 p.m. and 7 until 9 p.m. The Cumberland News, February 29, 1964
