- Heather Sue McKenzie, 50, of Park St., Westernport, passed away Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland. Born May 3, 1966, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of William and Virginia "Tootie" (Miller) McKenzie of Westernport. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Harry Miller; and her paternal grandparents, Ada and Guy McKenzie. Heather was a 1987 graduate of Allegany High School. She was previously employed for 23 years at the Development Center, Keyser, W.Va., having worked in the print shop. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Westernport, and attended the Westernport United Methodist Church. Heather loved Elvis and she enjoyed all kinds of music, especially gospel music by the Gaithers. She also enjoyed rock 'n' roll concerts at Allegany High School. Heather presently attended Georges Creek Adult Day Care. In addition to her parents, Bill and Tootie, she leaves behind her grandmother, Ma Ginny; and two special cousins, Cindy Sutherland and Mary K. Fanelli; also a special friend, Barbara Fisher. Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Sandy Cowan officiating. Entombment will be at Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
