CUMBERLAND — Beverly Ann McKenzie, 47, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, after a long battle with cancer. Born Nov. 1, 1964 in Cumberland; she is the daughter of late Harold “Junior” Binnix Jr. and Shirley (Carder) Binnix. Beverly was a member of the Seventh Day of Adventist Church and loved God. She loved being a mother and wife to her children and husband. Beverly always enjoyed welcoming Gary home from his long trips on the road as a truck driver. Surviving in addition to her mother, is her husband of 27 years, Gary McKenzie, Cumberland; children, Dana Edward and her husband Christopher, Gary McKenzie Jr., Jennifer Engle and husband Roy, Megan McKenzie and Brittany McKenzie, all of Cumberland; grandchildren, Alexis Edwards, Gary McKenzie III and Bradley Engle; a sister, Cindy Evans; and numerous nieces and nep-hews. Family and friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Friday, Nov. 25, 2011 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Durst Funeral Home at 1 p.m. with Pastor Scott Shafer officiating. Interment will be in the Emmanuel United Methodist Cemetery. The family requests memorial donations be directed to Durst Funeral Home to help defray final expenses.
