She died on 18 Feb 2002 in Cumberland, Allegany Co., Maryland. MOUNT SAVAGE - Letha Ann Bridges, 70, formerly of Mount Savage, passed away on Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, at Sacred Heart Hospital. She had been a resident of Lions Manor Nursing Home. Born on Jan. 30, 1932, in Mount Savage, she was the daughter of Bessie M. Pugh, a resident of Lions Manor Nursing Home, and the late Russell A. Pugh. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene V. Bridges; one daughter, Vicki DeVore; a brother, Clarence A. Pugh; and two great-grandchildren, Darron and Michael Wehr. Surviving are one son, Eugene V. Bridges II, and wife Lisa, Chesapeake, Va.; two daughters, Patti A. Beal and husband Terry, Mount Savage, and Donnagene Witt and husband Roger, Wellersburg, Pa.; one brother, Robert Pugh and wife Leona, Akron, Ohio; and one son-in-law, Samuel DeVore, Mount Savage. Letha had eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. They all loved to laugh and play and just talk to Grandma Letha. Letha worked for the Board of Education as a cafeteria worker at Mount Savage School. She was a member of the Mount Savage Methodist Church, Rebecca Arnold/Mountain Chapter No. 15, Order of the Eastern Star, Barrellville Outdoor Club Auxiliary and the Mount Savage Fire Department Auxiliary. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, P.A., 60 W. Main St., Frostburg, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. There will be an Eastern Star service held at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Broome Jr. officiating. Letha will be laid to rest at the Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap. She was buried on 21 Feb 2002 in Rocky Gap, Allegany Co., Maryland.
