Hillary Lancaster, 80, of Eckhart, died Sunday (Feb. 20, 1983) at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland. He had been in ill health several years. Born June 23, 1902 in Eckhart, he was a son of the late Charles Lancaster and Mary (Wright) Lancaster. He was a retired employee of the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company. Surviving are his widow, Nellie (Lavin) Lancaster; four sons, George Lancaster and Bruce Lancaster, both of here; Ralph Lancaster, Follansbee, W. Va.; James Lancaster, Smithfield, Pa.; two daughters, Mary Minnick, Barton, and Erma Wymer, Edinburg, Va.; three sisters, Elizabeth Hemphill, Hagerstown; Hazel Valentine, LaVale; Maletta Yates, here; 26 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home Monday and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home by Pastor Teddy R. Herron.
