Suit for $50,000 damages was filed in Circuit Court this morning for Aden Lavin, Jr., by his father Aden Lavin, Sr., Mt. Savage, against Carl R. Roberts, of Briar Hill, Pa., as a result of alleged severe and permanent injuries suffered by the Lavin youth when he was struck by Roberts' car. Lavin, who is I5, was in a small wagon at the time he was hit by Roberts' car, according to attorneys for the plaintiff. The mishap occurred September 11 about 2:30 p. m. at the intersection of Main Street and New Row in Mt. Savage. The declaration states that Lavin suffered a compound fracture of the right leg, severe lacerations of the right thigh, severe loss of blood and shock, and avers that his injuries are permanent. The youth was also hospitalized a long time and incurred heavy medical expense, according to his attorneys, William C. Walsh and Thomas B. Finan. The Cumberland Evening Times, November 5, 1948
