- Frostburg, MD - Donald Lee Beal, Sr., 82, of Frostburg, MD, formerly of Mt. Savage, MD, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Frostburg Village Nursing Home. Born May 6, 1932, in Washington, PA, Don was the son of the late Elwood Beal and Mildred “Millie” Beal. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Peggy Jean Beal, March 14, 2015 and was the last surviving member of his immediate family. A loving husband, father and grandfather, Don was a graduate of Meyersdale High School and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was owner and operator of Don's Service Station, Mt. Savage, MD and retired from All Trans. Don was a former member of the Mt. Savage United Methodist Church and a member of the Old Rail Post VFW #6025, Mt. Savage, MD. Don is survived by his son: Donald L. Beal, Jr. and wife Diana, Westminster, MD; and his grandchildren: Justin A. Beal and Travis L. Beal, both of Westminster, MD Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, on Monday, April 27, 2015 from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 P.M. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, April 27, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Wayne Turner officiating. Interment will be in Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap.
