Carl Russell Miller, 50, of RFD 1, Oldtown, died Saturday night in Memorial Hospital. He had been in failing health for 10 years. A former B & 0 machinist helper, he made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Joseph E. Harper near Oldtown. He was a native of this city, a son of the late Carl William and Eva Lavin Miller. Surviving are three sons, Frederick C. Miller, Falls Church, Va.; Donald L., Bowmans Addition, and Raymond E. Miller, city; three brothers, Howard E. Miller, Jamaica, N. Y.; Paul S. Miller, city, and Raymond L. Miller, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Brown, city, and Mrs. Catherine Higgs, Corriganville. The body is at the Hafer Funeral Home here, where friends will be received from 7 to 9 and 2 to 4 p. m. A funeral service will be held there Wednesday at 1 p. m. Rev. Bryce W. Shoemaker, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, will officiate and burial will be in Frostburg Memorial Park. The Cumberland Evening Times, November 9, 1964
