TSATSANIS - Helen Kathleen Tsatsanis passed away February 26, 2008 at the Earl B. Hadlow Center, Community Hospice. She was born in Cumberland, MD on April 14, 1923 to Harrison Garfield and Rose Lee Butts, and the youngest of 8 children. She graduated from Nursing School in Cumberland, MD and worked for many years as a private duty nurse in Baltimore, MD. Helen was a member of the McKinley Chapter 12, Order of the Eastern Star in Cumberland, MD. She moved to Florida in the late seventies, and was an active member and past historian of the Southern Genealogist's Exchange Society in Jacksonville. Helen was predeceased by her parents, her husband George C. Tsatsanis, her sisters Wilma Hardman, and Grace Butts, and her brothers Lloyd, Paul, Homer, and Robert Butts. Survivors include her brother Charles W. Butts (June); nieces and nephews Paula McIntosh (Joe) of Cumberland, MD, Gary Butts of Cumberland, MD, Lloyd Butts (Joyce) of Middleburg, FL, Dana Butts (Dianne) of Sterling, VA, Sandra Zaremba (John) of Westminster, MD, and Deana Goodbread (Pat) of St. Augustine, FL. A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday March 6, 2008 in the chapel of Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park. In lieu of flowers, family prefers memorial donations be made to Community Hospice of NE Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257 or to the Genealogist's Exchange Society, 6215 Sauterne Dr., Jacksonville, FL 32210.
