- Hugh O'Connor, former Meyersdale resident, died at McKeesport on Wednesday, June 3, at 7 a.m. Death occurred in the McKeesport Hospital where he had been a patient only one day. He was born in Ireland and had been in America for more than 50 years. He was a retired coal miner. His wife, Mrs. Mary (Hara) O'Connor preceded him to the grave, as also his second wife, Mrs. (Saylor) O'Connor. He is survived by the following children: Leo O'Connor, and Mrs. Margaret Heckman, of McKeesport, and Mrs. Hugh Quinn of Gallitzin. Nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive. Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 6, at 10 o'clock in St. Peter's Catholic Church, McKeesport, by Rev. Father P. J. O'Connor. Interment in St. Clare Cemetery, Clairton, Pa.
