- Mrs. Elizabeth Porter, aged 50 years, Welsh street, died at the Miners' Hospital last evening after a prolonged illness and following two operations. The first operation was last May and the second was in November. She had been confined to the hospital since January. She was the widow of Moses Porter, who was her second husband. Two sons, Cecil Beall, Baltimore, and William Beall, this city, are survivors. Three brothers, Charles Miller, Eckhart; John Miller, Jennings, Md.; Welsey Miller, this city; Mrs. Mollie Beal, Eckhart, and Mrs. Harold Diehl, Barrellville, are brothers and sisters surviving. Funeral services will he held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the First M. E. Church, with burial in the Eckhart cemetery. The Cumberland Evening Times, May 8, 1929
