- FROSTBURG — Mrs. Mary Ellen Fatkin, 81, of Carlos, widow of John M. Fatkin, died this morning in Miners Hospital. Mrs. Fatkin was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Knepp (sic). She held membership in Carlos Methodist Church. Surviving are two step-sons, John Fatkin, Carlos, and James Fatkin, Philadelphia; two stepdaughters, Mrs. David Middleton, Frostburg, and Mrs. Hugh Kirkwood, Shaft, and two sisters, Mrs. Stella Hanna, Westernport, and Mrs. Isaac O'Rourke, Midland. The body will remain at the Durst Funeral Home here until noon Saturday when it will be taken to Carlos Church for services at 2 p. m. Rev. Wilbur E. Grose, pastor, will officiate and interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park. Cumberland Evening Times, June 3, 1954
