- Veronica K. Delaney, 84, Frostburg, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2000, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born Dec. 2, 1915, in Lonaconing, she was a daughter of the late Robert W. and Nellie May (Klosterman) Shuck. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph William Delaney; one daughter, Mary; two sons, Maurice and Paul; eight brothers; and two sisters. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, the Sodality, and Catholic Daughters. She was also a member of American Legion Auxiliary to Farrady Unit #24.
Surviving are two sons, William J. Delaney, Hagerstown, and Edward Delaney, Frostburg; two daughters, Ann Walker, Issue, and Dorothy Kay Beachy, Grantsville; 14 grand-children; and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, 60 W. Main St., Frostburg, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael's Catholic Church on Saturday, Feb. 12, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Father William E. Moody as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery.
