Notes	Billy J. Barton was born June 29, 1927, in Henderson, and he was a lifelong resident of Henderson. He graduated from Henderson High School in 1945, and then served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Barton was a retired Texas Department of Public Safety trooper, where he served for 34 years. He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, he was on the board of directors of Eastex Telephone Co-op and the New Prospect Water Board. He was a committee member of The Farm Service Agency and also on the board of directors of the New Prospect Cemetery. Mr. Barton also loved gardening, farming and fishing with his grandchildren.
