Bradley, Jr. Source Title Halifax County, North Carolina Land Records Source Repository Halifax County Library (5) AMERIAH Biggs TO ROBERT Biggs 23 APRIL 1799 This indenture made this 23rd day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety nine (1799) Ameriah Biggs of the county of Halifax and state of North Carolina of the one part and Robert Biggs of the county and state aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said Ameriah Biggs and in consideration of the sum of one hundred silver dollars to him in hand paid by the said Robert Biggs the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and the said Robert Biggs acquitted and forever discharged and the said Ameriah Biggs hath granted bargained sold aliened and confirming unto the said Robert Biggs and by these presents I give grant bargain sell alien and confirm unto the said Robert Biggs his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land containing in estimation forty (40) acres be the same more or less and is bounded as followeth: Beginning at a pine in Thomas Drew's line on the South side of the Bee Tree branch thence a West course to Robert Biggs' corner line thence North along the said Biggs line to Samuel Hogan's line thence along the said Hogan line to a corner pine thence East along Benjamin Braswell's line to a white oak on the road thence along the road to the first station to have and to hold the aforesaid land unto him the said Robert Biggs his heirs and assigns forever together with all houses, orchards, fences, timber, warters together with all the appertenances thereunto belonging to the only proper use and act of the said Robert Biggs, his heirs, executors, administrators or assignes forever and the said Ameriah Biggs for himself his heirs executors administrators and assigns doth hereby convenant and agree to and with the said Robert Biggs his heirs and assigns that he will warrant and forever defend the title and property of the aforesaid land unto him the said Robert Biggs his heirs and assigns against the properties claims and demands of all manner of person or persons whatsoever lawfully claiming the same.
