  Notes	Elizabeth Cooper married Thomas Stovall on November 25, 1781. The Stovalls were of French descent and went to England with William the Conquerer. The family drifted into Wales from whence they came to America. Thomas Stovall served in the Revolutionary War under General George Rogers Clarke. A daughter was named Ruth. About the time the family moved from Virginia to North Carolina and then to Georgia.
