Born March 18, 1918, in Meyersdale, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Myrtle (Ringler) Schardt. Also preceded in death by her husband, Roy, on Nov. 4, 1994, and a daughter, Sherri. She is survived by two sons, Richard and Robert, both of Salisbury; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Members of Maple Glen Church of the Brethren and was a homemaker. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, Md., where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Daniel Whitacre officiating. Interment, Maple Glen Cemetery. Daily American, May 21, 1998.
