- UP - Wayne Hostetler was strangled in a freak accident on his father's farm at nearby Pocahontas when he slipped off a barrel in a barn Sunday and became entangled in a loop of bailing twine which was hanging from a wall. The boy's body was found by a brother Paul, 14, who called his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. Carl Hostetler. The victim was dead on arrival at Miner's Hospital across the State line in Frostburg, Md. The Daily Courier, Connellsville, July 31, 1956 .
