- Karen Ilene Lishia, 63, of Friedens, died Nov. 16, 2011 at Somerset Hospital. Born on May 30, 1948 in Meyersdale, daughter of the late Albert Franklin and Ethel June (Deal) Clark. Preceded in death by parents, son James Paul Lishia, III, sister, Linda A. Johnson and brother Robert W. Clark. Survived by children: Ralph L. Lishia, Jr., married to the former Amy Baker, Rockwood and Jennifer Lishia, Friedens; grandchildren: Kylee, Brayden, Kaitlyn and Coreena; brother and sisters: Roger D. Clark and wife Charlotte, Kay F. Morgan and husband Galen and Glenda M. Billy and husband George, all of Meyersdale. Karen worked in the sales department for Wolf Furniture where she was a member of the “President Club”. She was a member of Greenville Lutheran Church and she was very passionate about politics. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Greenville Lutheran Church, Meyersdale, with the Rev. Glenn P. Foster officiating. Interment Greenville Lutheran Church Cemetery. Contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital, c/o Memorial Dept., 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis TN 38105. Somerset Daily American, November 17, 2011.
