Born Feb. 7, 1921, on Meyersdale RD 1, he was a son of the late Harvey and Ada (Kretchman) Hershberger. Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Jane Harding; two sons, Philip of Meyersdale RD 4, and Robert of Springs; two daughters, Mrs. James Boden, Meyersdale RD 4, and Miss Ada Hershberger, at home; six grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond, Meyersdale RD 1, and John, Grantsville, Md.; and two sisters, Mrs. Grace Miller, of Pittsburgh; and Mrs. Pearl Stanton, Somerset RD 1. He was a member of White Oak United Church of Christ. Funeral service was held Wednesday afternoon in Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, with Rev. Robert Burns officiating, assisted by Rev. Lloyd Trout. Interment in White Oak Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, March 29, 1973.
