Born in Meyersdale, he was a son of Loretta A. (Crowe) Baker and the late James Baker. Besides his mother, he is survived by hisr wife, Mary C. (Rankin) Baker, Cleveland; three brothers, Arthur Baker, Cleveland; Floyd Baker, Lexingon, Ky., and 1st Sgt. Albert Baker, Fort Hood, Tex.; eight sisters, Minnie Zearfoss, Listie, Pa.; Katherine Baker, Wilmington, Del.; Lorretta Gracie and Elva Watkins, both of Frostburg; Dorothy Llewellyn, New Westminster; Ruth Holt and Mabel Warne, Meyersdale, and Josephine Miller, Baltimore. The body will be returned to the Hauger Funeral Home, Somerset, where friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be conducted at the funeral home Monday at 10 a.m. and interment will be in the Beal Cemetery, RD 3, Meyersdale.
