- Cumberland - Ursula A. Mantheiy, 84, of Cumberland, passed away Monday, September 28, 2015, at the Golden Living Center. Born in Cumberland, MD, on May 12, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Franklin J. and Marian A. (McKenzie) Mantheiy Will. In addition to her parents, Ursula was preceded in death by brother, Frank A. Mantheiy; sister, Margaret H. Franciosi and husband Paul; nephew, Christopher A. Mantheiy; niece, Andrea J. Atkinson; brother-in-law Thomas Lewis; and step father, Augustine Will. Ursula was a graduate of Ursuline Academy, class of 1949. Following high school, she was employed by Walsh and McCagh Pharmacy. Later, she was employed by C&P Telephone Company until she retired. Ursula was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and, later, Our Lady of the Mountains Parish. Ursula was very active in many church ministries. During her tenure at the Telephone Company, Ursula was the Labor Representative. Ursula is survived by a brother, R. William Mantheiy and wife Ellie, Cumberland; two sisters, Kathleen D. Mantheiy, with whom she resided, and Angela Lewis, Bellingham, WA; sister-in-law, Josephine Mantheiy, Bowling Green, Cumberland; niece, Angela Franciosi; four nephews, Mark A. Franciosi, Robert E. Franciosi and wife Bonnie, Joseph W. Mantheiy, David M. Mantheiy and wife Charleen, and Thomas Lewis and wife Trish; niece-in-law, Denise Mantheiy; seven great-nieces, Heather, Hannah, Corinne, Chole, Isabella, Emily, and Lily; two nephews, Joshua and Jack; great-great-niece, Maris; and great-great-nephew, Chase. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, on Thursday, October 1, 2015, from 4-7 PM. There will be a Christian Wake Service at 6 PM on Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Friday, October 2, 2015, at 10 AM with Fr. John Paul Kuzma O.F.M., Cap. as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. The family graciously requests that their friends and family refrain from sending flowers.
