- Beverly Kay (Lancaster) Portmess, 68, of Cumberland, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016, at her residence. Born Oct. 14, 1948, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of Mary (Lowery) Lancaster Shrader and the late James Lancaster. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Don Shrader. She was quality control manager for Superfos Packaging, Inc. for 21 years. Surviving Beverly are her husband, Mark A. Portmess; daughter, Tracy Roach and husband, Dave, Cumberland; son, J.R. Lease, Maryland; and numerous grandchildren. At her request, Beverly will be cremated. A memorial service will be conducted at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Friday, April 29, 2016, at 11 a.m. Condolences for the family may be left at www.ScarpelliFH.com.
