- Cresaptown-Arlie Gene “Shot” Lease, 68, of Cresaptown, passed away Friday, November 20, 2015. Arlie was born in Cumberland on December 3, 1946. He was the son of the late Ethel (Pratt) and Arlie Lease, Jr. Arlie retired from the Sheet Metal Local #100 after 35 years of service. He later worked for ATK Industries and retired from the company in 2004. He loved hunting and fishing and the outdoors. Arlie leaves behind his beloved wife of 33 years, Penny (Stottlemyer) Lease; two daughters, Tracy Roach and husband Dave, Cresaptown, and Erica McClung and Michael Davis, Cresaptown; four sons Arlie G. “JR” Lease Jr., Southern Maryland, Gary McClung and Cassie Thompson, Rawlings, Michael McClung and wife Angel, LaVale, and Shawn McClung and wife Maya, Ft. Ashby; two brothers, Michael Paul Lease and Jane Wright, Ridgeley, and Victor C. Lease and wife JoAnne, Potomac Park; three sisters, Diana Joy Hill, Cresaptown, JoEllen Morris and husband Eddie, Cresaptown, and Mary Ann Nee and husband Ted, Smithsburg; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and his best little buddy, Darrin Collins, Jr. Arlie is also survived by many more extended family members and friends throughout the community. At Arlie's request he will be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. The family request that their family and friends refrain from sending flowers, plants and novelty items. Those wishing to honor Arlie's memory may do so by making contributions to his funeral expenses, which may be sent to the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, MD 21502.
