Buford G. Lease, 61, of Triple Lakes, RD 6, Cresaptown, died Thursday at his residence of natural causes. Born in Pinto, he was a son of the late Arlie and Byrle A. (McKenzie) Lease. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma W. (Sherman) Lease in 1963. He was a construction worker and a member of the Cresaptown United Methodist Church. Surviving are a son, Todd G. Lease, Baltimore; three step-sons, Richard Hefner, Harold F. Hefner, and Timmy Hefner, and two step-daughters, Mrs. Dorothea Gray and Mrs. Paulette Baber, addresses unknown; four sisteres, Mrs. Wilma V. Ware and Miss Darlene Lease, both of Cresaptown; Mrs. Colleen A. Smith, Corriganville, and Mrs. Donna M. Mallow, Annapolis; two brothers, Arlie T. Lease, Cresaptown, and Paul F. Lease, LaVale, and one grandchild. Friends will be received today at the George Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home tomorrow at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Harold R. McClay, Jr. Interment will be in the Lease Cemetery, Cresaptown. Cumberland Times-News [no date on obituary, but date of death was December 11, 1980].
