- Mrs. Mary Elizabeth McKenzie, 65, wife of M. Guthrie McKenzie, Brant Road, Cresaptown, died last night in Sacred Heart Hospital where she was admitted Tuesday. Born at Hancock, she was a daughter of the late James and Molly (Clingerman) Stottlemyer. Surviving, besides her husband, are a son, Gerald Cecil, Detroit; three daughters, Mrs. Charles Douthitt, Cresaptown, and Mrs. James Judy and Mrs. Betty Wiliar, both of Baltimore; two brothers, William Stottlemyer, Hancock, and Charles Stottlemyer, Cresaptown; three sisters, Mrs. Ella Douthitt, Apollo, Pa.; Mrs. Frances Davis, this city, and Mrs. James Skelley, Cresaptown; three half-brothers, Rev. Michael, Ralph and Kenneth Stottlemyer, all of Cresaptown; a half-sister, Mrs. Grace Smith, Fairgo, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The body is at the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, U. S. Route 40 at Winchester Road, where friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p. m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. Services will he conducted Saturday at 2 p. m. by Rev. Robert Bavender, and interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park. The Cumberland Evening Times, June 29, 1961.
