- HANCOCK - William Edward Stottlemyer, of Rt. 2, died Monday evening at the Fulton County Medical Center. Born in Hancock, he was a son of the late James T. and Mollie Clingerman Stottlemyer. He was formerly an employe of Celanese in Cumberland, Md., and a part-time painter. He was a veteran of World War I. He is survived by one daughter. Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. from the Grove Funeral Home in Hancock. The Rev. Floyd Truax will officiate. Burial will be in the Rehoboth Methodist Cemetery near Hancock where full military services will be conducted by the Webster B. Harrison Post No. 26 American Legion of Hancock. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 7 to 9. The Hagerstown Daily Mail, November 12, 1975.
