- CUMBERLAND - Mrs. Olive Florence McKenzie, 88, of 518 Avondale Avenue, formerly of Fir Tree Lane, Cresaptown, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 1989, at Lions Manor Nursing Home. Born June 11, 1901, in La Vale, she was the daughter of the late John and Harriet (Starkey) Finley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil W. McKenzie, in 1968 and by one brother and four sisters. Mrs. McKenzie was a member of Cresaptown United Methodist Church. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Janet C. Nelson, with whom she resided; Mrs. Sylvia M. Shears, Cumberland; Mrs. Betty L. Yommer, Baltimore; and Mrs. Helen L. Nave, Grafton, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, Cresaptown, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted there Saturday at 9:30 a.m. by the Rev. Harold R. McClay Jr. Interment will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale. Cumberland Times-News, Friday, December 29, 1989
