- Mrs. John (sic) James Stottlemyer – Mrs. Bertha G. Stottlemyer, 95, Brant Road, Cresaptown, died yesterday at Memorial Hospital. Born May 8, 1886, in Cresaptown, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (McKenzie) Grant. She was preceded in death by her husband John (sic) (should be James T.) Stottlemyer. Mrs. Stottlemyer was a retired employee for the Allegany County Board of Education at Cresaptown and was a member of the Potomac Valley Revival Center at Rawlings. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Grace C. Smith, at home, two step-daughters, Mrs. Ella Douthill of North Apollo, Pa., and Mrs. Ethel Skelley of Cresaptown; one son, Kenneth C. Stottlemyer, at home; 19 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the George Funeral Home and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Cumberland Evening Times August 29, 1981
