  Notes	Ellis Benjamin Friend, 92, Westernport, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at Moran Manor Nursing Home, Westernport. Born March 30, 1915, in Oakland, he was a son of the late Lenzey Ellis Friend and the late Myrtle (Frantz) DeWitt. He was also preceded him in death by his wife, Hilda V. (McKenzie) Friend; and his grandparents who raised him, Stephen and Martha DeWitt Friend. He was retired from the town of Westernport, having been a foreman. He was a member and a longtime deacon of the First Baptist Church, Westernport. He is survived by one son; one daughter; two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. At his request his body was cremated. There was no visitation. A memorial service was conducted at Stoney Run Baptist Church, Westernport, Thursday, Jan. 3, with the Rev. Gary Morris officiating. Interment was held in the Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
